Special Education Licensure Model Plans
19 institutions presented plans to re-design their IS:M/M licensure programs so that candidates earn HQT status for grades 7-12 in at least two content areas, as well as acquire stronger preparation in co-teaching and evidence-based practice. These plans were presented at a spring summit sponsored by Muskingum College, funded by ODE and held at the Columbus Center of Ashland University. A part of the project was to make all presentations available for broader IHE access. Recommendations from faculty representing these IHEs will be further refined and submitted to ODE this summer for their consideration as they propose revised special education licensure requirements.
